About Royal Rooter and Drain Cleaning
I started doing plumbing in 2004. For fifteen years, I worked across eight different plumbing companies in Bergen County. That experience taught me something clear: most drain and sewer problems get solved the same way everywhere, but the way they get explained to homeowners varies wildly. Some contractors talk past you. Others oversell solutions you don't need. I saw it happen to friends, family, and neighbors, and it frustrated me.
In 2019, I started Royal Rooter and Drain Cleaning. It wasn't about becoming the biggest operation in Bergen County. It was about building something where the work matches the talk. My team is intentionally small—four technicians and myself. That matters. It means I know every job that goes out. I know the person who shows up at your house. And I know what actually happened when they leave.
When you have a sewer smell, a clogged kitchen sink, tree roots in your main line, or a sump pump that needs replacing, you're usually stressed. Maybe it happened at the worst time. Maybe you've had the same problem twice before and you're tired of temporary fixes. That's when you call someone. We answer as the owner, or one of four technicians you can trust to solve it straight—no upselling, no confusion.
'I spent years watching how this work should be done. Royal Rooter is built on that clarity.'
— Owner, Royal Rooter and Drain Cleaning
Fifteen years in the field, then seven years running Royal Rooter, teaches you a few things about drains and the people who need them fixed.
First, we stay local. Bergen County is home. We know the neighborhoods, the soil conditions, the age of the homes, and the way water behaves here. A sewer repair in Hackensack isn't the same as one in Englewood. Local ownership means we treat every problem like it matters because our reputation lives in the same community as our clients.
Second, the right tool solves the right problem. We don't reach for a hydro jetter when a roto rooter makes sense. We don't recommend a full sewer line replacement when sewer pipe lining will work. We do sewer smoke testing and drain smoke testing so you see what's actually happening before we decide on a fix. Diagnosis before solution—it's the only way to keep costs honest.
Third, communication stops confusion. A shower drain backing up is stressful. A kitchen sink that won't drain, a sump pump replacement, or sewer tree root damage can turn into a bigger headache if you don't understand what's happening or why. We explain it plainly. We show you what we found. We tell you what we recommend and why. Then you decide.
When you call Royal Rooter, you get someone who's done this work for decades and built a company small enough to care about yours. We handle drain cleaning and repair—kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, shower drains, sewer lines. We install and replace toilet faucets, sump pumps, and sewer injector pumps. We do sewer repairs, sewer line replacements, and sewer pipe lining. We remove tree roots from drains. We clean and clear blocked pipes.
In Bergen County, when a drain or sewer problem shows up, we're the ones who understand what matters: fixing it right the first time, explaining it clearly, and keeping your home and your peace of mind intact. Call us when you need it. We'll be straight with you.
